HF6R CORE good light if a little confusing at first

overall I like the light. my only problem with it is the controls are a little bit confusing to learn, and they are pretty much unlike any other light I've ever used in the past. not necessarily a bad thing, just takes a little while playing with it and reading over the manual (which was nothing more than an assortment of somewhat confusing pictographs) to get the hang of it. now that I know how to use it, I like it.

Expected better

I use headlamps all the time for work and I can tell in a short amount of time whether a headlamp is going to be good or not. This light is good in terms of light quality and self-adjusting for the difference in working distance but there are downsides. The light is heavy on the forehead and hard to keep from dropping down and in my case constantly pushing on my glasses, even with the over the head strap. The battery life is also not all that great at brighter levels and the battery is not replaceable so over time the battery life will continue to decrease from a mediocre beginning level. The positive side of having battery integrated in the light and in the front is when working on my back and not having a battery in the back of my head pressing as a hard object on the back of my head and neck, this is also true when reading and using this light in a reclining chair. If you don't have to work on your back with a headlamp and don't mind not be able to replace the battery this may be a decent choice for a headlamp.
