I use it for nightly, two mile walks with my wife. Generally, I hold it in my hand, using the face light as we walk. If we want to see something more clearly - like an animal - we use the flashlight in the end. At first, I wasn't a fan of the hook mechanism, because I would prefer something spring loaded but I'm actually fine with it now. This last purchase makes two of these as I wanted a second in case I forget to charge it. Our walks are about 45 minutes and we can go on three of them before recharging. In comparison to NEBO, the Ledlenser is far superior. My NEBO barely makes it through one of our walks before it needs charging. The Ledlenser battery life is excellent. It is a uniform circle of light without center hot spots or dim areas and is consistent all the way to the perimeter of the circle.
