I use it on my boat when I'm crabbing through the entire night in the pouring rain. I also use it for salmon fishing on the Columbia River. It's also great when I'm razor clamming. The weather is tough out here and I have never had a problem with the light. I actually purchased a 2nd battery thinking I would need it going through the night. Ive never even taken the 2nd battery out of the package. This is the 2nd HR19 headlamp I have purchased. I was tired of my mates on my boat having issues with their headlamps, so I purchased a 2nd one. In a pinch, can 2 of them be used in place of the 7.4v battery pack that comes with this unit (and similar models)? I'm aware that using poor quality/conterfiet batteries could be disaterous, but if I'm confident they are genuine Samsung/LG/Nitecore/etc. 18650s, would they fit and work? Is the lens of H15R Core stronger compared to each of H19R Core lenses individually?
